Tallapoosa County Museum

The Tallapoosa County Museum at 212-214 Broadnax in downtown Dadeville is open every Saturday with sections on Horseshoe Bend, vintage toys, Indian tribe locations, Alabama Power’s Martin dam and the village that was there, USA military battles, several huge scrap books of Dadeville happenings/events, pics and items from the various communities, pics of the old jail with the original jail keys, downtown maps from the 1800s, files of newspapers and clippings, family files, all kinds of very old maps of the county n lake areas, clean handicap rest rooms, a modern kitchen, piles of old postcards from 50-75-100 years ago, beautiful decorated military uniforms, century old church items, on and on. And that is just 1/2 of one of our huge packed buildings. We are full front to back and side to side. Come see us, it’s an amazing place. 2-3 members always on hand to show you all the interesting items we have, all from Tallapoosa county.
